Content vs Concept Repurposing

Go-To-Market
Mistakes

Stop repurposing your CONTENT ❌

Start repurposing your CONCEPTS ✅

If you start with a single asset (like a Zoom webinar) and try to break it up for different channels, you inevitable end up with a bunch of mediocre content that doesn't perform.

"But I'm not just clipping it and re-uploading! I'm adding captions and images!"

True → but this takes a lot of 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 🕐

Is there a better place that time could have been spent? 🤔

And is that 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 the asset you would have created if you had started with that channel? 🤔

If you sat down and said "we should make a TikTok"...

↳ would you have really thought "we should record a 1-hour dialogue on ZOOM?"

When you look at the top TikTok creators, is this what they are doing?

Of course not! ❌

You think you're getting more bang for your buck by doing content repurposing, but you're not ⛔

Instead, start with a single CONCEPT 🔮

Take Linear

→ they are revolutionizing the software development process with their application AND what they call the "Linear Method"

If you're Linear and you're trying to get the word out for the new method...

You'd be better off tackling each channel individually and creating content FOR THOSE CHANNELS.

1️⃣ Have founder/CEO

Karri Saarinen share about the method as a thought leadership post on Linkedin

2️⃣ Host a Master Class on the method with CTO

Tuomas Artman as a Zoom Webinar

3️⃣ Create a produced video on different software development methods and their shortcomings related to the Linear method and share on YouTube

4️⃣ Interview a current high profile customer of Linear on how they are using the Linear Method and share on Spotify/Apple Podcasts
