The Goal of a PLG Homepage

Product-Led Growth
Website

The homepage is not the place to describe everything your product can do.

The goal of your homepage is to get people to try your product.

If you've ever been to a food court, there are often servers standing in front of their restaurant holding free samples.

But as you've probably noticed, these don't include samples of every item.

They only include samples of the very best-selling item.

They understand PLG better than 99% of SaaS startups — they know they just need to get people into the restaurant.

Once they're in, they'll discover a whole assortment of great menu items (i.e. your startups other features).

But if they had stood outside holding a menu, nobody would have ever come in!

Do not be afraid to lead with your most compelling feature/capability.

If it's actually compelling, they'll come in and find out about all the other great things your product can do for them.

"The database has been truly invaluable to me as I build out my product marketing messaging for pre-selling a landing page for the SaaS app I'm building. Thank you so much for making this knowledge accessible for early-stage founders!"
